Imagine What Domes Can Do for You

Imagine climbing up through the canopies of some of the world's most beautifully lush rainforest.  To then uncover a trap door that takes you into a geodesic hanging garden palace that has the views of some of Hawaii's most spectacular waterfalls and jungle.

Families of kindred spirits are using geodesic greenhouses to grow their own organically superior food with the help of worms.  Even if your winters are cold, domes make intelligent greenhouses which are extremely strong, can resist high winds, and they enable maximum light penetration. As the Earth curves the Sun across our skies, Kimball Domes curve with it.

Heating your home has become a major concern for some families, but integrating proper passive solar solariums as an extension to your home will definetly help heat it.

Additionally, Passive Solar Salt Heaters, which use Sodium Sulphate (also known as Glauber Salt) can soak up thermal energy during the day, and release it at night very effectively.

Domes make sense and their intelligently beautiful designs make living structures and greenhouses that keep the imagination alive.  What can domes do for you?  Let us know...we'll build you one ...or take one of our workshops and learn to build your own.

Using domes to teach children about geometry and its practical applications can easily be done right in the classroom.

It looks like a Snow Dome, although it could be argued to be called the Love Dome.  Notice the hanging bed.

Here's my  fiirst good sized dome and myself at my good budd'ys place.  Good ol "Farmer Brown".
The snow was about 3 ft. deep around the dome and the roof was just an old tie-die parachute.  However, the grass was still green on the inside.
